Chicago, Illinois, July 19, 2017 – Dr. Vivek Ahuja, Vice President, Global Pharmacovigilance, ArisGlobal will present “Automation in ICSR Processing – Is Artificial Intelligence the Paradigm Shift?” at the Indian Pharmacovigilance Day to be held on Friday, 28th July 2017 at Hotel Lemon Tree Premier, Hitec City, Hyderabad.

The ‘Pharmacovigilance Day’ series of events, held in different parts of the world by EasyB srl, brings together Drug Safety experts from the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry to discuss pharmacovigilance issues that are unique to the concerned country/region.

According to Dr. Ahuja, life sciences companies like the idea of artificial intelligence (AI), but they are concerned that automation won’t produce the same outcomes as manual case processing. His keynote presentation explores the value that can be gained and specific areas, such as benefit-risk assessment and adverse event reporting, where embracing AI can become a positive game changer for life science companies.

Dr. Ahuja brings his sixteen years of pharmacovigilance experience in pharmaceutical sector and public health sector to help drive technological advances that help solve issues related to patient safety. Currently, he is actively supporting several European regulatory agencies for pharmacovigilance software solutions.

In addition, he is a key member of the executive team instrumental in the recent launch of LifeSphere® Safety, ArisGlobal’s cloud-based Pharmacovigilance software platform that leverages cognitive computing and industry standard practices to transform case processing and risk management.
